Why Steve Ortega Must Go

Steve Ortega has consistently voted against the interests of his constituents.

• He supports tax increases.
• He uses eminent domain to rob citizens of their homes.
• He caters to powerful business interests while neglecting the needs of the community he represents.
• He supports toll roads, which were strongly opposed by the citizens of El Paso by a 2 to 1 majority.
• He breaks his promises to his constituents.
• He has not done anything to preserve the natural beauty of the Lower Valley.
• He endangers families by supporting the construction of a road that will permit 18 wheelers to transport hazardous materials through neighborhoods where children and families reside.
• He supports the destruction of important cultural and historical sites.


For these reasons, we urge you to support the recall of Steve Ortega by signing the petition and making your voices heard. We need representation in City Council. We need to be heard. We are El Paso!
